a Victorian joint stool made in the Jacobean style of the 17th century. This stool stands on splayed turned legs with square section feet joined by plain stretchers with softened edges. Carved rosettes decorate the skirt skirt of the seat.
An attractive stool with sturdy pegged joints, a nice warm colour with good patina. A few marks here and there record the passing of the years.
